Objectives To investigate the prevalence of HPV in immunocompetent healthy male pubic hairs. Methods Specimen of pubic hairs from immunocompetent healthy male were detected by PCR. Results The prevalence of HPV in immunoeompetent healthy male pubic hairs is 17.21%, among them, HPV6 is 13. 11%, HPV11 is 4. 10% ,HPVn(0.8%). Conclusions The prevalence of HPV in male maybe higher than of female ,the HPV infection of male is one of causes leading to female HPV infection ,HPV6 and HPVll are the most common genotype in immunoeompetent healthy male pubic hairs.
