Abstract:Objective The radiation protection safety of the LA-6B 1802 accelerator is evaluated by detecting and analyzing the leakage radiation level and stray radiation level.Methods Leak radiation levels from inside and outside the M zone were measured using a Zhongjian Putai 1000 cc spherical ionization chamber, and PTW Unidose E dosimeter with solid water according to the test standard WS 674-2020.Results The leakage radiation rate in the M area of this type of accelerator is 0.009% to 0.016%, the average leakage rate is 0.012%, the X-ray leakage rate in area M is 0.013% to 0.053%, the average leakage rate is 0.022%, and the stray level is also less than 58%.Conclusion The radiation leakage and stray data of the LA-6B 1802 accelerator meet the requirements of the standard WS 674-2020.
